Merle was my administrative assistant in a busy and high pressure executive office. She had a GREAT sense of humor and understanding of the important nature of true human relationships. One of the people in my life I will always remember, with a smile.

Dear Gibson Family, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My dad, Walter Dunk, served with your dad in the Philippines during the late 1950s. Though only my five older brothers Ricky, Gerry, Dennis, Bobby, and Ronnie were born at that time, our families did get together a few times back here in San Antonio during the 1960s. My brother, Steve, and I used to play with Gary and Ray-Ray. Your family is featured in some of our home videos. Your mom was so nice. Merle...I love you. When I had my ski boat accident in 1983, your face is one of the few I remember looking down at me in my hospital bed. You didn't have to be there, but you were. My love and condolences to your family. They have lost a special person.
