Mrs. Ernest C. Ola Mae Smith, of San Antonio, died Sunday, July 14, 2002. She was a 5th generation Texan born March 19, 1923 as the only child to Georgie P. and William Zacharias. She married handsome 2nd Lieutenant Ernest C. Smith, March 13, 1943. He was a helicopter pilot with the US Army and they lived in Japan, Bangkok, Singapore, Belgium, Australia and traveled extensively. She was a faithful Christian, an astute businesswoman. She was also a member of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church and The Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Roxane; son-in-law, Gary Aitcheson, MD; granddaughter, Georgia Louise, all of Austin, TX; and a host of friends.
