He was preceded in death by his father, Olaf E. Olson, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Ray Votaw; sister, Rose Mary Wilcox; brother, Raylynn Votaw; first wife, Betty Olson and son, Olaf Olson, Jr. "Little Butcher". Olaf is survived by his sisters, Betty Ann Rivet and June Lee; step-son, Stephen Austin; granddaughter, Katria Mars as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was a loving uncle; a kind- and good-hearted person who loved animals and liked to fish on the lake.
