Olga was born to parents Alfredo & Guadalupe Carrillo Stone in San Antonio, Texas on January 11, 1942. She went to high school and graduated in 1960, soon marrying Abel F. Verastegui. Once married, she was perfectly happy with staying at home and making sure everything was spick and span, taking care of her kids and her husband. When she wasn’t taking care of her family, she was still taking care of kids and babysat them without question. She also partook in some homemade baking and sewing.
One of her favorite pastimes was to volunteer in the office and during any festivals for Resurrection of the Lord. She was entirely dedicated to her faith until she finally joined the Lord with open arms. She was always willing to help people and encouraged them to volunteer their time to the church and community to make both better than they already were. She was part of many organizations, some being her PTA, troop leader for both the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts, along with being the neighborhood playground concession volunteer. At one point, she also hosted 5 exchange students from Japan, Brazil, Germany, and even Hungry.
Olga is survived by her beloved husband Abel F. Verastegui; siblings, sisters Sylvia De Los Santos & Lupe Garansuay, brothers, Alfred Stone (Houston, TX) & Jose Richard Stone; children, sons Michael A. Verastegui (Boerne, Texas), John D. Verastegui, & Abel C. Verastegui, daughter Monica Eliot (Marion, Texas); grandchildren, Alec Verastegui, Mylea Verastegui, Nicole Verastegui, Amanda Verastegui, Gabriela Verastegui, Maria E. Marlowe, & Branden Eliot.
Olga is preceded in passing by her dear parents, Alfredo Stone & Guadalupe Carrillo Stone.
