Olga Starnes Wenger, known to her many friends and family as Dixie, died at home on August 2, 2001, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, P. Cedric Wenger. Born in Canal Fulton, Ohio in 1918, Dixie served in the military during World War II. A businesswoman in Houston, Texas for many years, she moved to San Antonio after her marriage. Dixie traveled extensively with her husband and was an avid golfer until her health failed. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Antonio. Survivors include: her niece, Diane Garrett of Houston; grand-nieces, Heather Stoval of Columbus, Ohio and Laura Garrett of Houston; two great-grandnieces; stepsons, Paul C. Wenger Jr. of San Antonio and Alan G. Wenger of Houston; four step-grandchildren, and two step-greatgrandchildren.
