

Olivia was a dedicated member of the Cibolo Volunteer Fire Department and worked at the Piggly Wiggly, as well as in the cafeterias of MacArthur High School and Clear Spring Elementary School. She later worked with Quality Care Nursing Services and served as a care giver for several elderly women. In 1990, she retired from working outside the home and joyfully devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren.
Olivia had many gifts, including cooking, baking and volunteering. She served as PTA President at Clear Spring Elementary School and faithfully contributed to her church in numerous roles-Treasurer for the church and women’s organization, President of the church committee, and a youth sponsor. She was known as a prayer warrior and active member of the Prayer & Praise group and above all, she loved to sing praises to the Lord.
Olivia came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in August 1973. She was a devoted member of the Church of God (7th Day), where she spent countless hours offering her time, skills and talents in service to various congregations. At the time of her passing she was attending the Church of God Seventh Day on Willard St.
Though she was a simple, humble woman with a seventh-grade education, Olivia leaves behind a rich legacy of hard work, humility, compassion, steadfast faith in Jesus and deep love for her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Elisandro Del Toro Sr; her parents Narciso Lopez and Fernanda Blanco Garza; three brothers, three sisters; and one granddaughter.
Olivia is survived by her six children: Sandra Salazar and her husband Samuel; Elisandro Del Toro Jr. and his wife Lali; Victor Del Toro and his wife Liza; Eduardo Del Toro and his wife Cristina; Elizabeth Ortega and her husband David; and Sarah Del Toro.
She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Her sister Herminia Castaneda and her husband Frank; and her brother Narciso Lopez and his wife Hope. Numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation for Olivia will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025at 6:00 PM with a service to follow at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
