Olivia S. Gomez was called home to be with our Lord and savior at the age of 89. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away on Monday February 6th, 2017. She was born on October 31, 1927 in San Antonio Texas to Enrique and Suzanna Sanchez.
Olivia retired from Mark Twain Middle School after twenty years of service as a pastry cook. Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mario Gomez, Granddaughters Melissa Ann Gomez, Priscilla Marie Penn and Hailey Rose Fambrough.
Olivia is survived by her sons Charles M. Gomez Jr., Edward R. Gomez (Irma), Steven G. Gomez (Barbara), daughter Beatrice I. Penn (Monty), and twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday, February 11th with a service at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of Porter Loring on McCullough. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. II. Pallbearers will be Daniel S. Gomez, Matthew S Gomez, Edward R Gomez, Charles N. Gomez and Timothy R Penn.
