Oralia Salas Peña, age 78, entered our Lord’s embrace peacefully on June 21, 2014. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August 8, 1935 to Benigno and Silveria Salas. Oralia was preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony Peña Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Sonia Feist and husband Daryl, Brenda VanGaasbeek and fiancé Travis Carpenter; grandsons, Michael A. VanGaasbeek, Evan G. Feist and Nicholas P. VanGaasbeek; siblings, Teresa Torres, Debbie Salas -Monsivais, Bonifacio Salas, Benigno Salas Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a caring soul, loved by all. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Rd, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6-9pm with Rosary at 7pm. The funeral procession departs the funeral home at noon Wednesday, June 25, 2014 for a 12:30pm Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
