

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving in the Army, Oscar worked as an electrician at Kelly AFB for 37 years.
He married Elizabeth on April 28, 1957, sharing 64 loving years. He was an amazing husband, brother, uncle, and father to four children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
His past times included camping, enjoying the outdoors, playing poker, and watching the Dallas Cowboys with family and friends. He took pleasure in sharing his vast knowledge of electrical installations and experience in home remodeling. He loved to sit on his front porch and enjoy the fresh air and his surroundings.
This was Oscar’s life and with whom many respectfully called Mr. Peña.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charlie, Macario, Enriqueta, Janie, Ofelia, and Beatrice. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; children, Nancy (Ron A.), Oscar Jr. (Leticia), Ronnie (Theresa), and Melissa; grandchildren, Ronnie Jr., Rhiannon, Oscar III, Jonathon, Matthew, and Tristan; great grandchildren, Elijah, Joelle, and Margot; and brother, Cruz Peña.
The family would like to thank everyone who sent prayers and provided support during his difficult final days.
The visitation will be held at Treviño Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday July 28th from 5:00 – 9:00 pm with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral procession will depart on Thursday July 29th at 10:00 am from Treviño Funeral Home arriving at San Juan De Los Lagos Church for an 11:00 am Mass. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be rendered at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
