Mr. Villarreal served in the US Navy four years during the Korean conflict and retired from the San Antonio Fire Department in 1993 with 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvira and Marcelino Villarreal; and brother, Victor Villarreal.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie; children, Suzanne Lozano Bob, Oscar Jr. Connie, Patricia Escobedo Rene and Michael Gemma; granddaughters, Morgan Lozano, Victoria Escobedo and Hannah Villarreal; brothers, Rudy Villarreal Pauline, Marcelino Villarreal Dolores; sisters, Rachel Hernandez Conrad and Anita Dennis George; sister-in-law, Emma Villarreal.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
