Ossa Sidney Renee O'Neill

OSSA, Sidney Renee O'Neill, age 21, passed from her mother's arms into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in San Antonio. Sidney was born in Topeka, KS but came to San Antonio with her family at a young age. She graduated from East Central High School and after touching on careers in both the restaurant and health fields, she chose the Navy. Always very determined, Sidney achieved anything she set out to do, including getting certified and working as a lifeguard at Splashtown when she was 16 years old. She loved to create art by way of paintings and sketches. Sidney touched the hearts of all who met her and she fought her battle with cancer to the very end. She was preceded in death by, her maternal grandparents, Jose and Josie Miranda and paternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Hank Staudte. Sidney is survived by her mother, Rosie O'Neill; step-dad Robert Rodriguez; brother Guy Paul O'Neill, Jr.; sister, Miranda O'Neill; step-brothers, Mauro, Robert and Jason Rodriquez; nieces and nephew, Rosie, McKenzie, Dominique, Donica, and Malachi Rodriguez; her biological father, Guy Paul O'Neill; and other extended family members and many, many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5p.m. to 7p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Porter Loring Mortuary, with an evening service beginning at 7pm.

On Thursday, April 4, 2013, a procession will depart Porter Loring Mortuary at 11:30a.m.
