Otila Marie Jimenez, age 51, was called up to be with the Lord on November 12, 2020. She was born on March 7, 1969. Otila was a doting daughter, giving sister, attentive aunt, silly cousin and faithful servant of the Lord. She always put prayer first in her life as she courageously confronted a horrible illness and the accompanying pain.

Otila, lovingly known by her family and friends as “Tila” was a fun-loving, compassionate and inspirational woman. She loved family, animals of all breeds, dancing, laughing and above all, she loved LIFE! She lived each and every day to its fullest despite her pain.

Tila is survived by her parents, Valentine and Esther Jimenez, four brothers; Tony (Mary Lou), Henry (Carmen), Valentine, Jr. (Maggie) and Benito (Cathy). She also leaves behind nephews; Valentine, III, Jonathan, Michael, Antonio, Thomas, Henry, Jr., Christopher, Benny, Abraham (AB) and Nehemiah, and nieces; Monica, Amber, Amanda, Irene, Mary and Elizabeth. She is also survived by various great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

She had a way of making a room light up with her wonderful smile. She will be deeply missed by her parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She had so much positive energy and a courageous spirit. She bravely battled cancer for many years and accepted each challenge head on as it came.

The fondest memories shared by her family are that of Tila loving on all her pets and farm animals. She also enjoyed listening and singing along to country music. She loved wearing western boots and dancing to country and tejano music.

Her nieces and nephews will greatly miss their “Tia Tila”. They always wanted to spend time with her because when they were together, she made them feel special. Tia Tila treated them with so much love and affection. She treated each and every one of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.

Her pallbearers will be her Fiancé, Antonio Ruiz, Jr., her nephews; Valentine Jimenez III, Henry Jimenez Jr., Antonio Jimenez and Benny Jimenez and her cousin, Raymond Palacios. Music for both services will be provided by Thomas Jimenez, Amber Jimenez and Nehemiah Jimenez.

My dearest friend! I'm sorry our time was short. I'm pretty sure we would've been the best of friends. You called me your best friend and that was an honor I didn't deserve. You are now with all of your loved ones and no longer in pain. May you watch over your family as you are now their guardian angel. Eternal Rest Grant Unto Her O'Lord and May the Perpetual Light shine upon Her Forever. May She Rise in God's Glory Forever! I'm missing you, but I know one day we will see each other again.
