Pat Hollingsworth passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on December 26, 1927 to Rupert and Louise Lundgren in Washington D.C. Pat was a southern woman enchanted with beauty of art and nature. Her light Southern drawl sounded like she was always (unintentionally) singing. Good manners and proper behavior were essential to her sensibilities. She was an old-fashioned woman who was defined be her roles, particularly to her family. Home and family came first. She was also fascinated by Politics and watched the news constantly.
She was thrilled when she travelled to Europe and other parts of the world. Pat knew how to celebrate holidays and birthdays with style, generosity and panache. She had the artists eye and she knew how to surround herself with beauty and grace. She was a talented oil portrait painter.
Pat was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1960, Oak Hills Country Club and The K Club. She was a proficient oil painter.
Pat was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Hensley III and Bob Hollingsworth. She is survived by her children, Patrice Hensley and husband, Bill, Robert Hollingsworth, Jr. and wife, Rose; grandchildren, Will Hensley and Victoria Hensley; brother, Sandy Lundgren and wife, Sally and their children, Stacy Lundgren McClure, Andy Lundgren and their children, and other loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017, 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 404 N. Alamo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Keystone School, 119 E Craig Pl, San Antonio, TX.
She will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with her first husband, Bill Hensley, a WWII War hero and former San Antonio District Attorney.
