Colleen was born on August 30, 1953, in Washington, D.C., and built her life around family, kindness, faith, and service to others. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Houston Browning, and is survived by her two daughters, Tirey Thomas and Helen Siedlik, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also leaves behind her sons-in-law, Christopher Thomas and Joseph Siedlik; three cherished grandchildren — Holland, Houston, and Holt Siedlik — as well as her loving sisters, Kathy St. Clair and Sharon Hearn, and her dear brother, Patrick (PJ) McCafferty.
Colleen had a heart that overflowed with warmth and compassion. She made everyone she met feel loved, valued, and welcome. She was an extraordinary cook, a devoted grandmother, and a constant source of strength for her family. Her favorite saying, “Cook, clean, repeat,” captured both her tireless devotion to her family and the joy she found in caring for others. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting feeling of belonging.
Colleen’s greatest joy was her family. She was deeply proud of her daughters and grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her life was built around small acts of love, steady support, and a quiet strength that never wavered. Colleen’s deep love for God was the foundation of her life, and she lived her faith every day through her words, her actions, and her servant’s heart. Her memory will live on through the love, kindness, and devotion she so freely gave.
A service celebrating Colleen’s life will be held, in San Antonio.
