Patricia L. Hartman, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, leaving behind many dear friends and admiring students. After giving up a career path with the Girl Scouts in Houston to return to her hometown of San Antonio to care for her mother, Miss Hartman began her teaching career. An incredible teacher and mentor, she joined the Alamo Heights School System, teaching at Cambridge Elementary until her retirement. After retiring, Pat volunteered as a worker for many years helping with the Elf Louise project to get presents ready for needy children in the San Antonio area. Later, Pat worked as a regular volunteer at the Green Door, a resale outlet sponsored by the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. A special thank you to her dear friends and neighbors who remained steadfast in their love and admiration. An Entombment was held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum.
