Patricia blessed the world with her presence on February 27, 1934, in the rolling hills of Memphis, Tennessee. She was born to the union of Georgia Taylor Jones and Walter Jones and was preceded in death by her parents.
Throughout her devout journey, Patricias walk with the Lord was praiseworthy as a Sunday school teacher and providing senior care services in her later years. As a member of Cornerstone Church, she faithfully served Jesus Christ through fellowship, community outreach, and studying the word of God, daily. She always put others before herself and gave selflessly to many charitable Christian organizations.
In her early years, Patricia completed her nursing education at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, and later married and moved to San Antonio, Texas. As a Registered Nurse, Patricia honorably served our U.S. military and their families by providing trauma nursing care at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), retiring after 35 years of civil service in 2000. During her nursing career, she received Department of the Army Superior Performance commendations. Patricia was also featured in Whos Who in American Nursing.
Patricia was a member of the Gamma Phi Chapter of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority and served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. As an entrepreneur, Patricia enjoyed continuous learning and exploring new ventures, such as real estate investing with advanced certifications in Wilton cake decorating, Singer sewing (tailor), computer skills, and certification through Barbizon School of Modeling. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, baking, flowering, and gardening. She was a beloved Mother (in Law), Grandmother, relative, and dear friend. Patricias dedication, humility, love, philanthropy, and sense of humor will be cherished.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, and son-in-law, Pamela Taylor (Michael); grandchildren, Dr. Pia Taylor, Paris Taylor, and Seth Taylor; great-grandchild, Wes Taylor, and a host of close family friends.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to time 12:30 pm, Monday, January 3rd, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.
