Patricia Legg, originally of Ohio, but forever a proud San Antonian, passed away surrounded by love, sass, and an indomitable spirit. She was 75 years young—because let’s be honest, she never acted her age, and we loved her for it.
Patricia met her husband Bill while he was in the Army, and in true whirlwind fashion, married him a month later. Some might call that impulsive. She called it fate. Together, they built a life in San Antonio, Texas, where they raised their children, Ryan and Roberta, and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and Bill’s BBQ.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Bill and son Ryan in 2022, and we suspect she’s already organizing a heavenly reunion—probably bossing them around and making sure the angels are taking care of the loved ones she’s left behind.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Roberta, who inherited her mother’s fierce love and even fiercer opinions; her grandson, Brayden, who always knew Grandma’s house meant snacks, safety, and quiet drives through the hill country; and her granddaughters, Isla and Paytyn, the latter of whom Patricia lovingly cared for as her primary caregiver, proving that superheroes don’t always wear capes.
She gave freely of her time, her love, and her advice (whether you asked for it or not). She was the kind of woman who you might not always agree with, would pick arguments just to get a rise out of you, but who loved as deeply as anyone was capable of. She was also someone who tried to surround herself with laughter and wasn’t above pretending to get her elderly mother fitted for a push-up bra in Victoria Secrets.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a family who will forever hear her voice in their heads saying, “I love you, and I’m so proud of you.” She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and never replaced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hug your loved ones a little tighter, speak your mind a little louder, find the joy in life, and make the world a better place every day.
