

Pat was a strong community activist, involved in many activities, including but not limited to her church, the Junior League of San Antonio, United Way, Children's Service Bureau, Alamo Heights-Terrell Hills Garden Club, Battle of Flowers Association, NESA, Fenwick Club and Timely Topics Reading Club.
She was a Wellesley College graduate and was passionate about cooking, gardening, needlepoint, reading and above all, her family.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John M. Parker; son, John M. Parker, Jr.; daughters, Mary E. Cece Parker, Janie Valach and husband, Ken; son, George P. Parker and wife, Eva; grandchildren, Christopher, Theresa, Alison and Robbie Valach and Leslie, Tricia and Thomas Parker; brother, Lawrence Heppes and wife, Mary; brothers-in-law, Joseph B. Parker and wife, Mary Anne and William A. Parker and wife, Camilla; sister-in-law, Mary Olivia Parker and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Church of Reconciliation Episcopal Church, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Vitas Hospice Care or a charity of your choice.
