Patricia A. Russell, age 59, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 in San Antonio. She made the world shine for so many of us. Now she rests in peace, leaving behind beauty in so many forms, including her children, the friends she touched, and the world in which we still reside.
Born in Jackson, Mississippi on February 10, 1951 and living her formative years in Illinois and Indiana, she was a resident of San Antonio for the past 17 years. Trish taught junior high mathematics after graduating from Ball State University where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and then was an executive with Indiana Bell after earning her Masters in Business Administration at Indiana University.
She retired from the professional world and turned her attention to her two sons and their myriad activities as they grew, while making a warm, loving home for the family. Her other passion was spending countless hours gardening flowers and plants, converting the residence into a beautiful environ for humans and smaller creatures as well, while devoting considerable time to the Hidden Forest Garden Club, serving in many officer and volunteer positions.
Her smile will live with us forever. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Philip; sons, Douglas and Evan; niece, Bonnie Fillenwarth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, from 3:00p.m 6:00p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
