

Patricia “Patsy” Klaver Sebesta, age 90, passed away at her home on, Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born in Wichita, Kansas, but moved to Texas as quickly as she could. Patsy was the daughter of the late Darling Crum Klaver and James Edward Klaver. She attended The Hockaday School in Dallas her senior year of high school, and then graduated from The University of Texas, where she was a member of Chi Omega. It was at this time that she met Henry (Hank) Sebesta. They married following her graduation. Hank, an attorney, worked as a landman at the time, and they lived in Denver, CO, Roswell, NM, Fort Worth, TX, then finally settling in San Antonio. Patsy was very involved in her community, serving her daughters’ schools as well as her church. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Charity Ball Association, the Battle of the Flowers Association, and the Junior League of San Antonio. Patsy enjoyed life like no other and defied every Covid Law possible, against her daughters wishes. It served her well. She loved her many friends, both human and furry.
In her early days, tennis was a favored sport. She enjoyed her garden, and painting as well. She was a student of Bill Bristow, who taught art at Trinity University. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Hank. Patsy is survived by her daughters, Susan Sebesta Hausser and her husband Will, and Leslie Sebesta Walter; her grandchildren, Stephen Hausser and wife, Sarah, Amelia Hausser Williams and husband Rob, and Heather Walter Slack and husband Joel; and her great-grandchildren, Abigail Williams, Liam Hausser, Hudson Slack and Grace Williams. Patsy is also survived by her dear friend, Tom Sawyer, her sister and brother in law, Beverly and Bill Lewis, brother-in-law, Joe Sebesta and wife Jean; and Godson, Stanton Bell, Jr.
A private graveside family service will be held.
