Patricia Doerr Thomas

Patricia Doerr Thomas, age 64, died peacefully on July 11, 2016 at Vita’s Hospice Care, after a brief struggle with cancer. Patricia was born February 25, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, and was the daughter of William & Mallie Doerr.

She is the youngest sibling of three; survived by her sister Anna Doerr age 69 and brother Gilbert Doerr age 68.

One of the most important things in Patricia’s life was gardening, and she took great pride in her flowers. Gardeners are special people. It takes patience and perseverance and a love for living things to grow a garden or a beautiful flower. In nurturing living things and helping to bring beauty and peace to the world, gardeners make a difference in the world and make their lives and the lives of those who see their gardens richer and fuller.

Family and friends were Patricia’s passion and delight. Filled with compassion and interest in others, Pat made friends easily and maintained contact with many. Her family, and her role as mother and grandmother, was the most important thing to her. Being with her family was what Patricia enjoyed most of all.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Billy P. Thomas, and her three children: Dorothy & Kristi Thomas, Billy & Candra Thomas and Kelsie & Matt Wildman. As well as her grandchildren Dalton, Mason and soon to be twins Chloe and Clark.

She will forever be loved and missed and we know she is up above tending to our family garden making it just perfect for our arrival.

Visitation will be 5-8p.m, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 3 p.m., Friday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
