Patrick was born March 15, 1973, in New Orleans, La. to John and Nancy Brown. His father had a PhD in pharmacology and died at the age of 43. Patrick was 2 years old when his father passed. He was raised by his mother, who did everything to encourage him and help make him the amazing man that he was.
Patrick could accomplish anything he set his mind to and in his short, but meaningful life he did many things. He had an enormous heart; he did and sacrificed everything for his family, friends and people in general.
Patrick graduated from Jeffersontown High School in 1991 in Louisville, Ky. Right after graduating at the age of 18 he joined the United States Army as an infantry man. While in the army he was sent overseas to Korea and received his airborne certificate.
After being honorably discharged from the military he went to Columbus State University where he pursued a criminal justice degree. He then became a peace officer and helped serve and protect the community.
After almost 10 years of being a peace officer he decided to retire and pursue his passion of martial arts. He got to travel to Europe where he got to compete and learn different techniques from others.
When he returned from Europe he decided to go back to school and receive his massage license. He opened a very successful massage practice. While working as a massage therapist he then decided to follow in his two sister’s footsteps and go to nursing school and achieve his next goal.
He graduated from Baptist Health System School of Health Professions and became a registered nurse.
Patrick was currently enrolled at the University of Arlington in pursue of his next goal, completing his Masters in Applied Science of Nursing.
Patrick was a man of many talents and a lifelong learner. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids, playing the drums, martial arts, music and anime. His world revolved around his family and made sure he did everything to support them. His children, Kyra, Jenna, Ian and Evangaline meant everything to him. They were his sunshine when skies were grey. He loved them with all his heart and soul.
Patrick is survived by his mother Nancy, his 3 sisters, Debbie, Laura and Lisa, 1 brother, Matt, their spouses and their children. His wife of almost 10 years, Kim, his daughters Kyra, 19, Jenna, 17, Evangaline, 2 and son Ian, 4.
