He retired with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of proud, distinguished and honorable service to his country and the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Mary L. Kelly, and his sister, Kerry Anne Wooten, all of Austin, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sueko Kelly, stepson, Ron Tolley and wife Marina of Bend, Oregon, son James Patrick Kelly of Camp Zama, Japan; daughters Carole Kelly, Christa Kelly, and Karin Wessel and husband Scott and grandchildren Andrew, Tristen, and Kali Wessel, all of Houston, Texas.
Surviving siblings include brothers, Mike Kelly and wife Claudia, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Thomas Kelly and wife, Sally, of Elgin, Texas, Tim Kelly and wife, Joan, of Austin, Texas, and Pete Kelly of Austin, Texas; sister, Mary Lou Swart and husband Randy of Buda; uncle, James Pufal and wife Carolyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
