

Pat was a jack of all trades and mastered all of them. He began a real estate career after building homes during his late teen and early twenties. His passion for martial arts then led him to open one of Ashcrafts Texas Blackbelt Institute franchises. Always wanting to help others, he went back to school and began his nursing career.
Pat was passionate about so many things in life. He gave everything he did 110% of his attention. He loved playing tennis and played with the Lee hackers who taught him quite a bit. Got into road biking and rode tour after tour each one challenging him to his max. He was always an avid fisherman, spending the summers of his youth and into adulthood in Rockport where he always dreamed of retiring. He had a great passion for the pit and would give any BBQ champion a run for their money.
Pat is survived by his two daughters, Christian Woolard and Jennifer Praeger and her son, Nick Sorenson; his son, Brandon Praeger. He is also survived by his niece, Joline Praeger, her children, Brandi Breitenstein and Jonathan Leyva. He is also survived by his companion, Audra Franco.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Walter Praeger and his sister, Penny Taylor.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Porter Loring North located at 2102 North Loop 1604 East. Viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. with service to follow immediately after at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park located at 1701 Austin Hwy.
