He was born at home in Freeborn County, Minnesota on September 12, 1940, to Bernhardt and Nora Jespersen. He was the third of six children.
After serving briefly in the United States Navy, he received a BS from Mankato State University in Minnesota, and then went on to work as a store manager for a major retail company. Exploring other retail opportunities relocated him and his family to San Antonio where he resided until death. During his 30 years in San Antonio, he worked briefly in retail, then became a small business owner, and ended his career as an assistant store manager.
He leaves behind two daughters, Beth Jespersen and Polly Miller; four grandchildren, Tanner Lowell Jespersen, Ashton Ross Miller, Brody Zane Miller and Claire Jordan Miller; and many, many friends.
