'Paul was not only one of the last of the WWII generation, he was an increasing rarity in that he grew up on a struggling farm in the Depression era. He worked hard for the same company for decades, was loyal to his wife and family, exhibited strong values, was self-reliant and good at all sorts of practical things, and was a trusted friend. He was generous in his volunteering and especially in helping his many grateful neighbors with all sorts of things. Nancy and I won't be the only ones missing Paul and his kind--America will.
