Paul was an incredibly big hearted man. He adored his family and was a phenomenal provider. He was a devoted husband, father, Opa, brother and friend. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Paul had a passion for cars and was a master technician; you could often find him under the hood of the most complex cars. He also had a knack for telling corny jokes and making everyone in the room smile. Anyone who came across his path would get a friendly wave and all the neighbors knew him. His favorite past times included being at the ranch, in the boat on the water or spending time with his toes in the sand at the beach; although he never wore sunscreen and was often as red as a lobster by the end of the day. It is impossible to quantify the impact he has had on each person he encountered with words, but the memories will live on in our hearts forever.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Nelwyn Oberholtzer, Lucinda Simons, and Madalynn Oberholtzer (granddaughter).
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jackie Oberholtzer; daughter Amanda Mendler and sons Casey Oberholtzer (Callie) and Jesse Oberholtzer. He is also survived by his sisters, Luncinda Linder (Terry), Lydia Oberholtzer (John) and step-sister Ann Hutson (Bob) and brother Dr. Kem Oberholtzer (Jan) and step-brother Joel Hutson (Carolyn). He is also survived my many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
