Paul Rocha, 82, peacefully passed away February 25, 2020. He was born May 20, 1937 in Westhoff, Texas to the late Leonardo Rocha and Guadalupe Montalvo Rocha. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving in the 82nd airborne division. While stationed in North Carolina, he met Mary Elizabeth King. After his discharge from the army, he and Mary married, moved back to Texas, and raised a family. Though he had limited education and vocational training, he worked hard to provide for his immediate and extended family. He had a long, successful career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before retiring in the 1990’s. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. In his later years, he suffered from declining health, but still managed to keep his smile and humor.

He was a generous man who cared deeply about his immediate and extended family. He had a large extended family and will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

I have been working with geriatrics for many years and Paul stole my heart since day one. He always had a way of making everyone smile n feel special. He had a huge appetite and loved his milk and peanutbutter crackers. He never once forgot my name. He is truely missed by everyone at Brookdale. We all love you Paul.

Uncle Paul was the best Granduncle ever! I remember him being there for all my graduations; he always said how proud he was of me. I have such fond memories of Uncle Paul; he has always been a positive presence in our lives. I remember Uncle Paul being an intellegent eloquent speaker; he could talk to anybody about any topic. He was always so generous and loved to have Fish Frys. I have lots of fun memories of family get-togethers at his home in Aransas Pass. I'll love you forever Uncle Paul, love your Grandniece, Sandra

Uncle Paul was one of the biggest cheerleaders in my corner. He always encouraged me & told me how proud he was of me. He was there for all the important events in my life. I remember when I graduated from nursing school he was boasting about my accomplishment. He let me know how proud he was of me as if I was his own daughter. He has left many beautiful memories for me . When I think of him I see him with a wide beautiful smile & laughter. He was someone I looked up to & he inspired me. He was intelligent, witty, positive, hard worker and had strong family values. Uncle Paul I love you & you will forever be in my heart & thoughts. Love, your niece Adel
So proud you were in my life
