Paulino Rodriguez, MSgt. (Retired) U.S.A.F., age 75, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 27, 1939 in Kingsbury, Texas to Juan & Otelia Rodriguez. Paulino retired from the U.S.A.F. after 21 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Otelia Rodriguez; father, Juan Rodriguez and beloved step-mother, Minerva Perales Rodriguez. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Katherine Sally Rodriguez; daughter, Anita Diane Rodriguez Abrahamson & husband, Tom A. Abrahamson; daughter, Ruth A. Rodriguez & husband, Paul Vaughn; bonus daughter, Penny Jones; granddaughter, Heather Stenberg; grandson, Soren Rodrigo Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Matty and Kaname; sister, Magda Rodriguez Starnes & husband, Dennis Starnes; brother, Carlos Rodriguez and numerous family and friends.
Visitation will take place from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
