Pedro G. Villarreal

With broken hearts, but with faith and gratitude, we say goodbye to our beloved dad, Pete Villarreal, who passed away surrounded by close family and lots of love on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Pedro was born on April 19, 1955. Although we are grieving deeply, we are held together by the confident expectation based on God's unchanging promise that he is with God and has entered eternal peace.

Our dad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was a beautiful example of love, strength, and dedication. He was a true provider, a hardworking man who believed in providing for and caring for those he loved. Selfless and dependable, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to put the needs of others before his own.

Pete enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, watching westerns, being his daughters' go-to handyman, and spending time visiting with his siblings and friends. Above all, he treasured his family. His greatest joy was simply being together—sharing stories, laughter, and meals. He found joy in the moments spent together and treasured the experiences that brought his family closer. He especially adored his granddaughters, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. They knew him as a loving and devoted Papa whose presence, encouragement, and unconditional love will remain in their hearts forever.

We'll always remember our dad for the love he showed so effortlessly. He was the kind of person you could sit and talk with for hours, whether you needed advice, a laugh, or just someone to listen. He always had a story to tell, and somehow those conversations became some of our favorite memories. His quiet strength, caring heart, and the way he made everyone feel welcome are gifts we'll carry with us forever.

Pete is survived by his loving wife Delia Villarreal, his daughters Lisette (Jacob) Martinez, Clarissa (Desmond) De Leon, his cherished granddaughters Eleanor Rose and Evelyn Petra Martinez, Sonora Jean and Isla Josephine De Leon and his siblings Mary (Daniel) Fernandez, Antonio (Terri) Villarreal, Sonia (Pete) Villarreal, Jose Angel Villarreal, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Antonio and Nelly Villarreal, his brother Arnold Villarreal, nieces Vanessa and Ashley Villarreal, and nephew Joey Villarreal.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we rejoice in knowing that this is not goodbye forever. We take comfort in God's promise of eternal life and look forward to the day we will be reunited with him. Until then, he will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on July 15, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at the same location on July 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm.

A second Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on July 16, 2026, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, with a Chapel Service at the same location on July 16, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.

Committal will take place at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on July 16, 2026, with military honors starting at 10:30 am.
