

Peggy was born March 16, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the third and last surviving child of Leslie Bennett and Thelma Brady Case of New Orleans. She was predeceased by her siblings, Beverly Case Andry, Leslie Bennett Case, Jr., Mary Ellen Case Richards, and Robert Case.
Peggy grew up in New Orleans attending both catholic and public schools. Peggy met Donald Rowland Aertker in New Orleans and they were married during the war. Peggy traveled solo by train from New Orleans to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, where Donald was training before deployment, for their wedding on April 21st, 1945. Peggy was married to her husband for 63 years. Together, Peggy and Donald raised six children while living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then in Fort Worth, Texas. Peggy and Donald were active parishioners at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth. They made many lifelong friends in their circle group in the parish. Peggy loved life and her family. She enjoyed cooking, travel, golf and cheering for the winning team. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and they treasured her. In addition to enjoying many achievements and celebrations with her children, Peggy courageously confronted the loss of two of her sons, Captain Alan F. Aertker USAF in 1977 and Dr. Roger Case Aertker in 1998. Peggy also cherished visiting with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. After Donald’s passing in 2008, Peggy became a resident of the retirement community at The Village at Incarnate Word.
Peggy is survived by her children Donald Rowland Aertker Jr. and wife Eileen Kavy, daughter in law Peggy Wagner Aertker wife of Dr. Roger Aertker, and daughter in law Jean Henderson Aertker wife of Captain Alan F. Aertker, Donna Aertker and husband, Dr. James Wright, Lawrence Aertker and wife Jeanne Kaska, Mark Aertker and wife, Mirtha Gomez.
Grandchildren: Evelyn Aertker Carlson and husband Ben, Anna Harrelson and husband Jim, Alice Aertker Hollingsworth and husband Aaron, Katherine Aertker Day and husband Emmett, Cheryl Wright Schoellkopf and husband Andrew, Stephen Wright and wife Rachel, Michael Wright, Joseph Aertker and wife Sarah, Robert Aertker and wife Andrea, Benjamin Aertker and wife MarySuna, Leslie Aertker Curo and husband Miguel, Ryan Aertker, Devora Aertker, and Claudia Aertker Henry and husband Tommy.
Great grandchildren: Henry and Roger Wiley Carlson, Alyssa, Grace, Logan, and Blake Harrelson, Edward and Robert Hollingsworth, Jack, Tim, Mike and Lily Day, Wright, Mack and Case Schoellkopf, Evelyn and Mitchell Wright, Annie, William and Ellen Aertker, Alan, Riley and Margo Aertker, Evan and Daniel Aertker, Maeve Curo, and Johnny and Violet Henry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 15th at Saint Joseph Chapel - The Village at Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas at a later date.
