Peggy A. Carmichael

Peggy A. (Moring) Carmichael peacefully passed away into eternal rest on Sunday, July 31, 2011. She was born on May 25, 1934 to Zachary Taylor Moring and Irone Stewart in Geneva County, Alabama. On June 4, 1953, she was married to Calvin Franklin Carmichael. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, Frederick A. and Fannye M. Carmichael; brother, Billy Ray Moring and grandson, C.J. Carmichael. Peggy was survived by her husband of 58 years, MSgt. (ret.) Calvin F. Carmichael; daughter, Karen Patrice Tobola (Frank); son, Steven Franklin Carmichael (Elizabeth); daughter, Cheryl D. Stanton (Jack); grandchildren, Chris Tobola (April), Chelsea Carmichael Ebbitt (Corey) and Nicholas Tobola; great-grandchildren, Breven, Kaydence, and Rylen Tobola and Beretta Ebbitt; sister-in-law, Genola Moring; nephew, Lucky Moring ( Linda) and family; and aunt-in-law, Myrtle McLean. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 8:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the C. J. Carmichael Memorial Scholarship Fund thru Sunset Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218).
