Peggy Joeris

Peggy Joeris, age 79, passed away in her home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born on December 8, 1936 in Hondo, Texas, to parents, Milton and Wilhelmina Mechler. She graduated from Seaton Nursing School in 1958 with an RN Degree. Peggy continued to support the Seaton Alumni Association throughout her life. Peggy married the love of her life Joseph Walter Joeris, Jr. in September of 1958. She worked for Northside ISD as a school nurse for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Aggie's Wives Club, serving as Vice President as well as President and remained a very loyal 12th man. Peggy was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church serving on the Alter Society and the VIP Committee where she enjoyed playing Bridge weekly with her many caring friends. Peggy was a member of the Castroville Alsatian Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph Walter Joeris, Jr. Peggy is survived by her children, Susan Joeris Peet (Jimmy), Cynthia Joeris Perreault, Karl Walter Joeris (Tina) and Keith Edward Joeris (Kathy); grandchildren, Brian Peet, Jennifer Peet, Kevin Peet, Victoria Perreault, Kaitlyn Joeris, Hailey Joeris, Bridgett Joeris, Kirstin Joeris, Klara Joeris; and one great-grandson, Paxton Peet.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
