Petra H. Granados

Petra H. Granados, beloved wife and mother, passed away on July 14, 2012, at the age of 95. She was born July 10, 1917 in Villa de General Bravo Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Martiniano and Cecilia (Pena) Hernandez. Petra was the oldest and last survivor of her siblings. One of her proudest moments was becoming a U.S. citizen in May of 1983, and of her 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren that served in the U.S. Armed Forces. She was preceded in death by her husband Alejandro Granados, son Francisco Granados, and grandson Bryan E. Rampy. Petra is survived by her Daughters Nora Rampy (Erwin), Martha “Marty” Granados, Susana “Susie” Granados, Laura Potier (Bruce), Norma Granados Banda, Sylvia Granados, Connie Granados, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 future great-granddaughter, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Wed. July 18, 2012 from 5:00-9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. A procession will depart on Thurs. July 19, 2012 from Sunset Funeral Home at 9:15 am to the funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 125 W. Whittier, San Antonio, Tx 78210. Interment will follow at San Fernando II Cemetery. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
