Phillip Anthony Shore, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14th, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. Anthony grew up in Monroe, Georgia and graduated from Monroe Area High School in 1977. Shortly thereafter in 1979, he joined the US Air Force and proudly served his country over the course of 22 years. While assigned to Randolph Air Force Base, he met the love of his life, Yvonne. His military service took them to several locations in the US as well as overseas. While stationed in the United Kingdom, Anthony and Yvonne welcomed the absolute joy of his life, Miranda. After his military retirement, Anthony was employed with the Navy Recruiting District, and subsequently began employment at Randolph AFB as a Financial Analyst for the Air Force Security Assistance Training Squadron.
Anthony was the most loving, family oriented, and selfless man to ever bless our lives. He put others above himself in every way, never turning down an opportunity to serve. He loved adventuring and traveling with his soulmate, Yvonne. He enjoyed volunteering with the men's group of his church. He looked forward to any outdoor activity (especially gardening) and appreciated the beauty of nature whenever the opportunity arose.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 37 years, Yvonne; his daughter, Miranda Shore, and her fiancé, Bhavik Patel; his mother, Margaret Davis; his two sisters, Kaye Peschl and husband Jim; Renee Shore; and half-brother Shawn Shore and wife Amanda. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Shore; his two brothers, Brian Shore; Lynn Shore; and his sister, Rhonda Shore.
Family will begin receiving visitors at 11:00 AM on January 4th, 2021 at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following the service. Those in attendance will be required to wear face masks and maintain a physical distance of 6 feet or greater.
