

Michael attended Bullis Preparatory School in Maryland and went on to The College of William and Mary. He played football as a starting quarterback. Michael loved hot dogs, pizza, golf and college football. His favorite team was The Ohio State Buckeyes. Michael worked in sales and owned small businesses throughout his career, including a specialty hot dog truck, a pizzeria and a men’s clothing store. He also deeply loved his entire family and friends. Michael battled juvenile diabetes for 61 years, but overcame many challenges. He was a member of Northern Hills United Methodist Church and had great faith in God. His experience at his Emmaus Walk was life changing. Michael was a kind, loving, patient and gentle soul. He also enjoyed the outdoors as well as working on art projects. The family wishes to especially thank the many wonderful doctors and nurses that cared for Michael for many years including Peripheral Vascular Associates, WellMed, Fresenius Dialysis center, South Alamo Foot and Ankle and the caring staff at Baptist Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by, his mother, Francis Mae Drury; stepfather Richard B. Davis, and sisters Toni and Cris. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Xochitl Davis; son, Michael K. Davis; daughters, Gayle Rea (Keith), Xochitl Spearman (Darren), Ixchel Chong (Chol) and Araceli Ward (Adam); grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas, Noah, Ryan, Ava, Audrey, Kai, Alaina, Jackson, Harrison, and Victoria; as well as 2 great grandchildren.
