R. Scott Vaughan

Scott was a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 1952 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

He retired from a career with ALCOA in 1979 and began a second career in real estate in San Antonio, most recently with King Realtors.

He is survived by Phyllis Nowacek, daughters Leah Alice Pat Aldaz of Flower Mound, TX; Mary Gig Alvin Barber of Lebanon, MO; Elizabeth Ann Preston of Overland Park, KS; Phyllis' children Kim Brad Wheeless; David Karen Nowacek; Sissy Spencer Rigney; Jim Shelly Nowacek; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister Grayce Louise Korkmas of Tyler, TX and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the physicians, nurses and caregivers at Northeast Baptist Hospital for their compassionate care.
