Rachel Perez, age 56, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1968, to Raymond Lara Perez and Elvira Naranjo Perez. Rachel was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Rachel’s life was full of joy, laughter, and a deep love for her family and friends. She was always filled with energy, dancing and spreading happiness wherever she went. Her outgoing nature and friendly spirit made her a cherished presence in any room, and she had a heart that was quick to open to others. Rachel found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She cherished playing cards, especially poker, with friends and family, and was known for her love of life and her adventurous spirit.
Rachel’s warmth and generosity were evident in everything she did, whether it was through sharing a meal or bringing people together for a moment of fun and connection. Her cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love, always offering meals with a side of warmth and comfort. Rachel had a natural ability to make those around her feel welcome and loved.
Rachel reunites in heaven with her father; Raymond Lara Perez, brothers; Michael Ruiz and Joe Ray Perez, and her daughter; Jessica Elisa Romero.
Rachel's memory will forever live in the hearts of her mother, Elvira Naranjo Perez, brother; Raymond Perez Jr. and his wife; Kristy, her son Rudy Raymond Romero, grandchildren David Palacios, Josiah Michael Ortega, Eloni Mercedes Ortega, great-grandchild Emery Faith Palacios, her nieces Stephanie Ruiz Cortez and Cierra Martinez, nephews Isaac Ray Perez, Michael Ruiz Jr., and Michael Angel Ruiz, along with numerous cousins, family, and friends.
A Visitation for Rachel will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM.
