Raquel T. Van Brandt, age78, passed away February 1, 2014. She was born of January 2, 1936 to Margarito and Aurora Torres. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert; children, Roy Anthony and wife Faye, Margaret Ann and husband Robert, and Jhon Robert; grandchildren, Janay Van Brandt, Michael Scott Lynch, Christina Nicole Barrios; great-grandchildren, Danica Jane, Jordan Renay, Ethan Tyler, Logan Alfred and Xavior Carlos; sister, Delia Torres; brother, Reynaldo Torres; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 for a 9:30 A.M. mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
