He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII as a Technician Fourth Grade Company E 410th Infantry.
Rafael placed his family above all else in his life. He and his beloved wife, Dora, strived to have them achieve the greatness set before them and instilled lifelong values carried today.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dora E. Gutierrez and their daughter, Yolanda E. Gutierrez.
Rafael is survived by his caring daughter, Dora G. Vega and husband, Emilio; and his cherished granddaughter, Monica F. Vega.
We will carry his memory in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd at Porter Loring on McCullough beginning at 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
