

Ralph was born on January 30, 1931 in Hugo, OK, his parents were, C. P. Hurn and Bonnie Busby. He worked for American Airlines and was able to join their pilot training program, which led to his cadet training in the Air Force. Ralph joyfully flew KC-135's until he was medically grounded. Still seeking that thrill, he joined the Security Service branch of the Air Force and worked all over the world in classified intelligence.
After his retirement from the Air Force, he and his wife owned and operated Stone's Marine for many years. Ralph was past president of the San Antonio, TX Boating Trades Association, where he organized many boat shows. After they sold that business, he concentrated on his second love, golf. He was past president of the World Senior Golf Federation, where he played with other golfers from around the world.
Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Paw Paw will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hurn; father, C.P. Hurn; mother, Bonnie Leona Van Asperen. Ralph is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jacquelyn Stone; son, Ralph E. Stone, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Bardwell; daughter, Kathy Allen (Kris); daughter, Michelle Brightwell (Hugh); son, 1Sgt. Michael S. Stone, (Ret.), (Lisa); step-daughter, Stacey Langley; step-son, Joseph Crouch (Daphne); brother, C.P. Hurn, III "Sonny" (Susan); eight grandchildren, Erin Brown, Amanda Stone, 2Lt. Randall Stone, Kalyn Brightwell, Karly Brightwell, Chelsey Langley, Coral Crouch, Katy Crouch; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Jacob Brown.
