Ralph was my colleague and dear friend when we were assigned to the 45th Medical Battalion in Hanau, Germany. Sharyel, I am sorry to be so late in offering my convalescences.  Ralph was a great company commander and S-1 in the battalion and I cannot say how much he is missed. I discovered he had passed as I was trying to look up old member of the 45th Med Bn.  It saddened me that his gentle soul was taken from this earth so early. There is a hole in my heart that will not be patched until I see Ralph again in heaven. My most warm and blessed regards to you and the entire family.

I am sorry about your loss. Was going through my papers and found where he had been my reenlistment officer Nov. 1986. He was a great officer.

My condolences go out to the Bradford family. I worked with LTC Bradford while he was in charge of DCSPER and my husband worked with him at MEPRS. He always talked lovingly of his wife and family and his eyes really lit up when he talked about his grandchildren. I will miss him.

I always thought of Ralph as a nice guy. What a shame I never knew what a WONDERFUL man he really was. The world was a much better place because he lived.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a good and gentle man. The world is a better place for his having been in it.

What a wonderful gentleman Ralph Bradford was!!! I always loved talking to him and listening to him talk. His voice was so peaceful and gentle. He was great in so many ways, but most of all a great family man. Sharyel, you are so blessed to have been loved by a man such as Ralph. The service was just as Ralph would have wanted---a celebration of his life. How pleased he would have been. I will continue to keep you in my prayers and thoughts. We have lost a valued member of our West Texas State University Band extended family. Ralph fought the good fight. Now may he rest in eternal peace.

Ralph was one of the kindest, gentlest people I've ever known. He was taken much too soon and will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved him.

Ralph was indeed a fine man...I worked with him as a fellow MSC officer and always found him a gentleman.

I am truly glad we got to see Ralph in July - and he shared his handsome smile and bright responses with all his friends and colleagues from WT. May he now enjoy God's peace and share in the heavenly banquet he has earned.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I was a year or two below Ralph in college, but was in ROTC and the band at WT with him. I played violin and french horn. Ralph was a fine person then and I know touched many lives for the better during his lifetime. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.

Ralph was a brother to all of us leaving a major impact on our lives.

We met Ralph at the WT band reunion. Our paths did not cross while at WT, but he was a Buffalo Band member and that makes him special in our eyes. I graduated in 1964. Our condolences to your family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ralph's death. There were five of us who entered high school as sophomores that were pretty inseperable. Now, two are gone, as James Nidifer also passed away just a few months ago. Ralph and I were such very good friends, from junior high through high school graduation in Pampa. As members of the band, we developed a close friendship that is hard for non-band members to understand. Not only did we march and play in the concert band together, but the dance band took many trips throughout the panhandle, playing dances at country clubs, chambers of commerce, etc. Those were such great times! After high school graduation, Ralph went to WTSU, while I went to Eastern New Mexico University. I was proud to have been in attendance at his wedding in Plainview. Shortly afterwards we lost track of each other for several years. Then, totally by accident, we reconnected a few years ago at a Texas Music Educators convention in San Antonio. It was such fun - the memories that we shared - like we were in high school only yesterday. We talked for hours. The bonds of friendship are everlasting! I know that your family is grieving, Ralph, but I also know that they share such fond memories of you, just as I do. Your compassion, love and friendship will live in all of our hearts forever. May God be with your family during this time.

I remember Ralph and his saxophone during our years in the WTSU Buffalo Band. Man that has been a few years ago. I am so proud to know that he served his country in the military. Sorry we had lost touch for so long a time, but thanks to Mary Jo and the plans for the reunion, we were able to reunite somewhat. I am thankful for her updates on the reunion and especially on Ralph's condition. I pray that God will wrap you and your family in His Arms and comfort you all in this time of loss and sorrow. But you have good memories of the years spent with Ralph as friend, boyfriend, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, etc. No one can take his place, but as time passes, the void will be filled with thoughts of the good times and not so much of the last few days and weeks when he was so sick. Now he has a new body and all the pain and suffering is over! Sharyel, I also will keep your mother in my prayers and petition God to give her health mercies as well as strength and care for you as you take care of her. She is lucky to have you during this difficult time. It should help you to pass the lonely times without your mate and loved one.
