Ramon Mendoza

Ramon Mendoza, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025 at the age of 75. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ramon dedicated 28 years of service to CPS. His coworkers remember him not only for his dedication but also for his infectious sense of humor and ability to lighten any room. A true old soul, Ramon had a deep appreciation for vintage cars, classic country music, and the smooth sound of Augustine Ramirez, whose songs he often sang with pride and passion. On weekends, you could find him enjoying the great outdoors, camping under the stars with a bottle of Jack Daniels in hand, sharing stories and cracking jokes that had everyone in stitches. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, for turning strangers into friends, and for bringing joy wherever he went. Whether it was his perfectly timed punchlines or his karaoke nights full of soulful tunes, Ramon knew how to lift spirits and make memories. He will be forever remembered for his big heart, his love for the simple pleasures in life, and his ability to bring people together through music, laughter, and genuine connection.

He is preceded in death by his son, Roland Mendoza, parents, Francisco and Virginia Mendoza, brothers, Frank Jr., Jose Mendoza, sisters, Lupe Garcia, Romana Ramirez, and Alicia Sauceda.

Ramon leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Modesta Mendoza, sons Raymond Jr.(Lenette), Miguel Mendoza, daughters, Leticia Aguilera, Veronica Mendoza, daughter in law, Maricela Mendoza, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, numerous extended family, and friends.

A celebration of Ramon’s life will be held on Thursday November 6, 2025 from 5:00PM-10:00PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. San Antonio TX 78211.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 13466 Interstate 35 Access Rd, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
