Ramon N. Nerio, 74, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from civil service at Kelly AFB after 30 years of service. As a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, he was born and raised a devout Catholic and had much love and adoration for his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose M. Nerio; daughter, Denise Covell; grandchildren, Vincent Villarreal, Juliana Villarreal and Alexander Covell; brother, Joe Nerio; sister, Adelle Mojica and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, 6:00 – 9:00 PM with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, 11:30 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2829 Ackerman Rd. in Kirby. Interment with military honors will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2829 Ackerman Rd., San Antonio, TX 78219.
