Ramona Lynn Buford

Ramona was born in Columbus, Ohio to Albert and Susan Pittman on May 31, 1960. She graduated High School in Converse Texas from Judson High School in 1978. She married Reginald Courtney Buford on August 14, 1981 in San Antonio. She worked in an accounting firm for several years and then pursued a career in nursing. She graduated from Alamo College with an Associate Degree in Nursing and started working for Christus Santa Rosa in the Pediatric Intermediate Care unit and the Pediatric Floor as a Charge Nurse from 1996-2012. She then worked with AxisPoint Health from 2014-2015 and started her studies to get her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University. In August of 2015 she started working for Superior Health Plan as a Case Manager where she was presently working. She loved helping her patients and families and was very active in getting them all the benefits and special needs for them. Ramona was an active member of the Society of Pediatric Nursing and was a Certified Pediatric Nurse.

Ramona loved to do crafts of all kinds and was always giving her products to her friends and family. She loved doing crochet, plastic canvas and sewing. She loved baking cakes and made her sons baby shower cake and daughters bridal shower cupcakes.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents Albert E. Pittman and Susan Janet Pittman, her son Kyle David Buford and nephew Sean Thomas Kelly.

Ramona is survived by her husband Reginald Buford, her daughter, Michelle White and husband Marcus White, brother Raymond D Pittman, sister Robin Pittman Kelly and her grandchildren that she loved dearly Noah Stone-Buford, Malia and Jaylen White.

Ramona’s Ceremony of Life is on Friday September 20, 2024, 11:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be given to Reginald Buford or Michelle White, if any.
