Randall Hawkins, 61, of Waco Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2025. A devoted father, faithful son, loving brother, and loyal friend; Randall’s life was a testament to faith, love, and joy.
Randall was the proud father of three sons, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. His bond with his son Michael was especially tender – a relationship built on unconditional love, understanding, and a connection that words could never fully capture. Randall deeply loved being a grandfather and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. In a way that perfectly reflected his sense of humor and playful spirit, he added a “G” to his name and proudly went by “Grandall.”
Randall found joy in working with his hands outdoors and often expressed his love for others through acts of service, whether for family, friends, or complete strangers. He was a loyal fan of his alma mater, Baylor University, never missing the opportunity to explain why it was the best place on earth. After earning his accounting degree and MBA from Baylor, he eventually chose to live close to his alma mater and the community he cherished.
Randall was not your typical accountant; he had a quick wit and contagious sense of humor. He never missed an opportunity to enjoy life’s humorous moments – especially with his siblings Bo and Gwen.
A man of steadfast faith, Randall loved the Lord with all his heart. His family takes great comfort in knowing that he is residing in the presence of God, whole and joyful, and forever praising Him.
Matthew 25:21: “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master’s happiness.”
Randall is survived by his three sons, Matthew, Andrew, and Michael; his grandchildren, Maeve and Porter; his mother, Elaine; his brother, Bo, and his sister, Gwen; as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Randall’s life will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral home located at 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio, Texas 78218 on August 22, 2025. There will be a time for visitation from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, prior to the service at 11:30 am. A private graveside ceremony will commence immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Camp Camp, a camp for children with disabilities.
