Father had simple rules for us growing up. If we did something wrong, we got in trouble. I remember him joking about being afraid of heights. He joked often. The earlier years were the best for myself and my brother, my brother would agree. A trip to west Texas, my father was never the same. First there was one and now there are two. I always look up when I think about Dad. I wonder whos afraid of heights now? Not him. Not my brother and not me. We love you Dad. 
The Sons.

I miss grandpa ,and wish that I could of given him more of my presence and love. So intensly I will miss listening quietly to his stories of the earlier days. I would do any thing in the world to be able to listen again for hours on end,and to here him call out my name Sybie. In the back of my mind I will forever here his voice whisper about the joys of playing guitar with his buddys and about the time he fell in love with grandma. He will live in my heart and memory as the worlds most special grandpa. I will deeply miss him. I love you Grandpa and Grandma,

We here in California are saddened to hear of your loss. Randy was very generous and willing to help and share his knowledge and helped us with our research. I did not get down to Texas to meet with him but still will miss him. We shared more than just a name. My condolences to the family for the loss of Mr. McCalla. Mr. McCalla spent many hours over the years teaching us how to work on almost everything mechanical as well as giving us the encouragement and skills to perform mechanical tasks and auto painting. Mr. McCalla certainly made a difference to me, and I will always be grateful.
