Born in San Antonio, TX on January 20, 1953 to Federico and Celestina Elizardo, he was one of 12 children.
He is preceded in death by both parents; son, Joey Villagran and brother, Armando.
Raul is survived by the love of his life, Guadalupe Elizardo; children, Raul Elizardo Jr. (Nora), Luis Elizardo, John Elizardo and Charles Elizardo; siblings, Luis Elizardo, Federico Elizardo Jr. (Janie), Reynaldo Elizardo, Consuelo Valdez (Rogelio), Josephine Elizardo-Driver (Charles), Mary Ann Velez (Mario, Linda Guerra (Jose), Sylvia Guerrero (Joe), Jose Valdez and Andy Valdez (Cynthia), as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Our Family Chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God Calls us one by one the chain will link again.
Rudy's Life was marked by his strong work ethic from an early age and his social and genuine ability to connect with others was second to none.
As we bid farewell to "Rudy" we reflect on a life well lived, filled with purpose, love and unwavering commitment and devotion to Family. He may have departed from this world, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who love him.
A visitation for Rudy will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Bonaventure Church, 1918 Palo Alto Rd, 78211.
