Raul Oscar Ibarra, born on July 27, 1946, and who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 80, will be fondly remembered for his warm spirit and deep love for family. His legacy is defined by the countless cherished memories he created throughout his life.
Raul served our country right out of high school in the Army, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to service. Following his military career, he spent many years contributing to the community through his work at Kelly AFB, from which he later retired.
Raul was a dedicated member of St. Alfonso’s Church, where he found a sense of belonging and community. He had a passion for sports, particularly tennis, and enjoyed relaxing by watching TV and listening to music and dancing. His favorite pastime included game shows, which brought him joy and entertainment. Raul's love for cars also highlighted his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Abraham R. Ibarra, as well as his son, Gilbert Ibarra, and daughter, Gloria. He also mourned the loss of his siblings: Antonio Ibarra, Abraham Ibarra, Juanita Alvarado, Hortencia Cervera, and Consuelo Stone. His family circle included numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who have also passed.
He is survived by his beloved sister, Rachel Munoz, and his daughters, Linda and Terry. His legacy continues through his granddaughters: Stella, Madison, Makayla, and Melody, as well as his grandson Michael, along with Crystal Revilla and their family. Raul also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Their love and support will ensure that Raul's memory continues to thrive.
Raul's kindness, laughter, and the moments shared will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His life was a tapestry of love and joy, and his spirit will continue to resonate with everyone who had the privilege of sharing time with him.
