

Raul R. Rangel, age 90, passed into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born in San Antonio on September 11, 1924 to Cirilo and Josefina Rocha Rangel. Raul was a decorated Army veteran of WWII. He was a lifelong fan of the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. Raul exhibited a creative talent and style in the craft of furniture refinishing which became his trade. After he retired from Lacks, his passion was his granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Humberto Rangel; sisters, Mary Talerico and Esther Rangel; and grandson, Jack Rangel. Raul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tommie O. Rangel; children: Lithia Garcia and husband, Rick, Michael A. Rangel, and Phillip C. Rangel and wife, JoAnn; granddaughters: Atleigh, McKenna, Presley, and Crystal; and sister, Gloria Ramos. On Monday, July 13th at 7:00 PM, recitation of the Rosary will be held in the chapel of Porter Loring on McCullough. On Tuesday, July 14th a service will be held at 8:45 AM in the Porter Loring chapel with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
